Personal Statement
I am a photographer majorly interested in fashion imagery and how fashion merchandising and trends are constantly changing; being highly influenced by fashion blogging and social media and ideas of identity through fashion. I am interested visual merchandising and PR as well as customer service and have been working in customer service for over five years in varied establishment and environments. I have been going to the clothes show for nine years and am enthusiastic and eager to work in the fashion industry.
I am looking for a job that will challenge me and enhance my skills and I am eager to learn within a creative environment. I am confident in my ability to self manage and work in a team whilst being friendly and approachable to customers. I have worked on projects collaborating with student stylists, allowing me to become confident in my own ability to follow a brief set by a client.
Having exhibited in group photographic shows at The Southampton City Art Gallery and Foto8 Gallery in London, being part of the Curation and Marketing teams and working alongside other professionals to organise and manage the production of an event to a time scale with a specific client in mind. I am professional, personable and able to adapt to situations that could be stressful. I have been student rep, showing that colleagues and staff trust me to be professional and responsible.
I want to work as part of a team as well as taking on responsibilities of my own and am willing to work hard to achieve my goals. I want to work somewhere that lets my creativity thrive in an industry I am interested and passionate about.

Key Skills
University has enabled me to become confident in my own skills and develop myself into a vibrant and self- motivated individual.
Technical skills
Confident using film and digital media, excellent knowledge of darkroom practice, and post-production processes used in Photoshop that can be transferred into all forms of printing. Digital formatting using different formats of photography, maintaining of my own blog using basic html coding.
Work Experience
Assisting professional photographers I am punctual, helpful and use my initiative making me visually aware to contemporary trends in fashion and photography. Working with stylists and models shows I am personable and friendly. Good knowledge of how a studio should be organised through my experience as university evening supervisor. Being hand picked from a number of candidates shows responsibility and professionalism when working with others.  Collaborating with other students I have become aware of virtual and social media and its importance in contemporary fashion. Communication is a key factor to a successful collaboration. I have been a key holder responsible for opening and closing procedures such as cashing up and ensuring takings are correct. I have been in charge of monitoring staff and ensuring all is running to schedule and correctly. I have worked in stressful busy environments enabling me to deal with multiple staff as well as working alone and managing this.
